KUCHINKA
Moosejaw Wisconsin Dells
It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of our son, brother and uncle, Steven Kuchinka, aged 27 years of Moose Jaw, SK, on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020. Steven was born in Moose Jaw on April 27th, 1992 to Mark and Julie Kuchinka. He went to Westmount School and Riverview Collegiate where he had many, many friends. Steven was the first one to make friends with anybody new and bring them home to hang out. He loved bowling and going golfing with his Dad. Camping trips and fishing were also favorites. Steven was usually the last one to go to bed, adding 5 more logs to the campfire when everyone else was calling it a night. He loved all animals, especially his cats and his dog Charlie. He had a great love of movies and music.....varying from Bob Marley to Judas Priest to Johnny Cash, and loved going to many concerts with his Dad. Steven worked at Moose Jaw Co-op Gas Bar and most recently Thunder Creek Pork Plant. He loved playing cards and board games and was hard to beat at Trivial Pursuit and poker because he loved to bluff and bid his “whole stack” of chips. Steven’s passing has left a huge hole in our family that will never be filled. He will forever be loved and missed. He was predeceased by his Grandma Marg McCurry. Steven is survived by his mother, Julie Kuchinka (Darwin Bender); father, Mark Kuchinka (Tracey Woodrow); sister, Christine Kuchinka (Dustin Sjodin); nephew, Brayden Sjodin; grandfather, Cary Kuchinka; grandmother, Sheila Latsay; grandfather, Neil McCurry; uncle, Karl Kuchinka (Sabra Richardson; aunt, Erica Smart; uncle, Andrew Smart (Alex and Josie and Lily); and aunt, Jennifer Olesik. A Celebration of Steven’s Life will be held on Sunday, March 15th, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Please dress causal and wear your favorite band shirt, T-shirt or Hoodie and if you so desire, a toque as well! That was our Steven and what he would have loved. In lieu of flowers, donations in Steven’s name may be made to SCRAPS, PO Box 1653, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
